I am 52 and may be helping here for a few years. What are your recommendations regarding super if I continue with this volunteer work to the poor? I have heard that the pay out of super once you retired is dependent on what you were earning before you retired. Full Question We have a house in Tasmania that we have been trying to sell for the past 2 and a half years, we have been unsuccessful up to this date. Should we reduce the price considerably so as not to pay much in Capital Gains Tax as we would if we keep it or should we hold onto this as an investment property. At the moment we are only getting around $3,300 (totalling $6,600) for both my husband and I as a tax deduction. Is this all that is usually claimed?
